For our next Latino Voices program, Professor Katynka Martínez will discuss the role of newspapers and television media during United Farm Worker strikes and within East Los Angeles Chicana/Chicano student organizing of the late 1960s. The political cartoons in Latina/Latino newspapers of the 1960s will be highlighted.

Katynka Martínez is an Associate Professor of Latina/Latino Studies, College of Ethnic Studies, San Francisco State University.
